the division of labor is limited:

argument by mere hindsight: we wouldn't still have fulltime janitors, maids and lettuce pickers (which at McCain's 40 dollars an hour sounds like a nice paid vacation - I could use some sun that wasn't glaring against my monitor and making my unreadable code unobservable, and um, maybe some exercise) if the division of labor was sufficient to erradicate human drudgery, or if it were, then those in the erradication business perhaps do not engage in enough human drudgery themselves to prioritize the erradication of the real drudgerly bits.

And the washing machine is so 1950. George Jettson had a robot maid, a pretty wife, raised two kids, fed and treadmilled the dog, owned his own spacecondo and two hovercraft, and bitched about his boss all just for pushing a button three days a week. Where's the fucking hovercraft Mr. Smith?
