Somehow Ronald Reagan's divorce was of no matter but Russ Feingold's makes him unelectable. To persue a dog that hunts: liberals don't give a shit about conservative sex lives, but conservatives care a great deal about liberal sex lives. It's merely tractionless partisan politics if anybody on the sexually liberated left makes hay over conservative sex scandals, because liberals really don't give a shit, and conservatives really don't want to read about them. Hence one pushes copy and the other doesn't.
