    Sean Caroll tries to convince us that undergraduate education is worth what they're charging:

    after all, hearing a recorded lecture is not the same as hearing it live

    Yeah, recorded lectures are better. Much better. Nobody complains about the bourbon and the smoking, it's there whenever you want it, however fast you want it, you can just rewind your professor instead of interrupting, and pause her while you go look up that briefly mentioned but far more interesting tangent than what's on the lesson plan. I might have actually learned something in college if I had been able to just watch it on youtube.
