    let's take a look at those puppet strings..., 2008-03-03 11:24:23 | Main | a blow struck against venezuelan hegemony..., 2008-03-03 21:31:09

    preferences:

"If Barack Obama gets in a scrap with John McCain over national security credentials, he might as well pack up and go home, because John McCain cannot be beat on that front by a guy who never served in the military, who has no experience or background or basis of understanding of national security matters," said Wilson.

No shit. Like every Presidential race since 1991 hasn't involved a draft dodging goofball mopping the floor with an opponent's honorable service record.

If anything the fact that Obama never had a draft to dodge is what threatens his campaign. Not chickenhawk enough. Americans clearly want a used car salesmen telling them how big their dicks are, not some well hung jock who makes everybody in the room feel inadequate. That's been the clear choice of the past four elections.

It's the same in religion, FWIW. They don't want the Sermon on the Mount. Nor have they any appetite for a righteous, pleasing to Jesus, flogging of money lenders. They do want a prayer that will reduce their APR, and they expect it to be offered up for them. I gather the miracles of healing and feeding are now considered some kind of "loss leader", from a corporate Jehovah seeking market share.
