have you started screwing your wife, yet?:

OK, FOX News Sunday, 3/29/2004 to Donald Rumsfeld:

WALLACE: What do you make of [Richard Clarke's] basic charge that, pre-9/11, that this government, the Bush administration, largely ignored the threat from Al Qaeda?

FOX News Sunday, 9/22/2006 to Bill Clinton:

WALLACE: Why didn’t you do more to put bin Laden and Al Qaida out of business when you were president?

    Their answers, in turn:

RUMSFELD: Well, we were thinking about what to do about Al Qaeda. Any suggestion that the administration was not would just be incorrect.

Certainly he didn't ignore it, he was thinking deeply on that very topic.

CLINTON: I tried and failed. When I failed, I left a comprehensive anti-terror strategy and the best guy in the country, Dick Clarke, who got demoted.

Welp, guess you can't fail if you don't try. Score one for Rumsfeld.
