haiti:
Diane Warth posted a couple updates on Haiti that I'll supplement with the new afterward to Paul Farmer's 'The Uses of Haiti', finished last month as an update on Haiti since the US-backed coup in February of 04.
And figuring the typical white liberal blogger's response back then was, at about it's best, huh? and on the more progressive side mute skepticism, and how relatively liberal journals - the papers were just balls to wall screaming hysterical lies from the pages of the NYT to the wires of the AP - responded by somehow blaming it all on Aristide, I never did get high enough on my horse about what turds, in the aggregate, they were. The more time goes by the more pissy I get about it, for some reason.
