    family:

I have one. It votes Bush. A talk with an uncle revealed that if democrat hacks on the cable news back off bitching about, say, poor growth figures et. al. and don't bitch about something like "Poor and Uninsured Americans Increase for Third Straight Year" it means it hasn't happened, and that's the way to judge who is winning an argument. Presumably the tech bubble (the bls says some 300,000 tech jobs have been lost, how do we pass off the other 700,000?) and 9/11 explain it all away in a flip of an upbeat projection for the future. Not as flippant as bush was, but that's all history, waiting to be suddenly revised should some democrat choose to make it an issue and choose the side of the humans.
