Hillary Clinton as Sec. State? This is a pitch perfect side-winder for the forces of change and better judgment, I guess: instead of having a bunch of deranged lying Republican lunatics running our diplomatic efforts into the ground on behalf of the Department of Land Wars in Asia, we'll have a bunch of deranged lying Democratic paranoids running our diplomatic efforts into the ground on behalf of the Department of Cruise Missiles and Chlorine Import Bans.
I'm looking for an upside, and while she won't be anywhere near healthcare, Obama's healthcare plan was just Hillary's minus mandates, so I don't see the point. And why the hell is Richardson getting shuffled towards commerce? The strategy appears to be to play to former presidential candidates' weaknesses.
At least most of State's formal functions have been moved informally to the Pentagon already. Yeesh.
