Lucky for us it was originally published in 1925, three short years prior to the creation of the Mickey Mouse gulag. This morning I happened across a trascription of it on one of those half-broken free sites that was begging for liberation from Microsoft's HTML generation and angelfire's gimp ass javascript. Credit presumably goes to Ron Baseman for either the typing or the scanning.
I took an hour to clean up the html and some typos, make it printer-friendly, and tossed in links to chapter headings. It's an easy afternoon read, and one of the best personal narratives about turn-of-the-century American labor struggles available.
